Assam’s “Mulagabhru” team became the champion

Guwahati: In the 16th National Junior Roll Ball Championship held at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh (January 8-11), Assam’s “Mulagabhru” team became the champion.

On the other hand, Assam’s men’s team was eliminated from the league stage. In this, Assam won against Karnataka and Haryana, but was defeated by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Assam’s women’s team defeated Kerala 3-0 and Chhattisgarh 2-1 in the league stage, but lost 2-0 to Gujarat.

In the quarter-finals, Assam women defeated Tamil Nadu 5-0, and in the semi-finals, they won 8-1 against Uttar Pradesh. In the final, they overcame Rajasthan 4-2, with goals from Miska, Kristi, Namrata, and Shrinika, to clinch the title. Rajasthan secured second place, while Maharashtra finished third.

In the boy’s category, Rajasthan secured first place, Tamil Nadu second, and Gujarat third.
