Assam Girls’ Team Clinches National Junior Roll Ball Championship with Thrilling Win Over Tamil Nadu

On the first day of the year, our proud Assam girls’ team brought joy to our motherland. At the 17th National Junior Roll Ball Championship held at Jammu’s MA Stadium in Jammu & Kashmir, they defeated Tamil Nadu 1-0 to reclaim the title in their grasp once again.The champion Assam girls’ team overcame several hurdles on their path to victory. In the league stage, they beat Uttarakhand 3-2, Madhya Pradesh 13-0, Himachal Pradesh 23-0, but lost to Tamil Nadu (0-3). In the quarterfinals, they defeated Rajasthan 4-1, and in the semifinal, Maharashtra 3-0. Today, in a thrilling final match, they defeated Tamil Nadu in the solitary set.
Meanwhile, Assam’s boys’ team bowed out in the league stage.
