Assam surged ahead 1-0 early on, only to be leveled 1-1 in stoppage time. Extra time saw both sides trade goals to end 2-2, before Assam sealed the win with a decisive golden goal, sparking wild celebrations. Tamilnadu (3-2)dominated the finals, clinching gold against Uttar Pradesh’s silver medalists. In the women’s section, Rajasthan claimed top honors, followed by Madhya Pradesh in second and Jharkhand in third.This achievement highlights Assam’s rising prowess in roll ball, a dynamic sport blending elements of football and basketball, and underscores the state’s commitment to nurturing young talent in regional competitions.
