Guwahati, June 27:
At the
first Junior World Cup Roll Ball tournament held in
Nairobi, Kenya,
the Indian boys’ and girls’ teams both emerged as
champions. In the finals held this evening,
the Indian girls’ team defeated the host nation
Kenya with a dominant score of
5-0,
while the Indian boys’ team also claimed victory over Kenya with a convincing
5-1 win.
Assam’s
B.P. Hindu (Veer) contributed one goal in the boys’ final.
The tournament began on
June 22, and the Indian squad proudly featured
three players from Assam:
Kristi Saharia,
Dhanistha Kashyap, and
B.P. Hindu (Veer).
In this World Cup:
- ⚽ Veer scored a total of 9 goals
- ⚽ Dhanistha scored 6 goals
- ⚽ Kristi scored 4 goals
The
